Any luck with the battery replacement for inelligible batteries? Looks like I’m going to have to do the same thing, even though my brand new battery only lasts one hour.

Well, 2 hours is lucky! My Tecra M4 is just over a year old now, and the battery used to last between 2 and 3 hours, depending on the usage. Now, it holds 20 minutes…without wireless and with the screen at it’s lowest brightness, regardless of the O/S (it tends to last about 5 minutes longer in Linux, but it’s still dismally short).

The battery check app. said I was qualified, so I went ahead and just applied for an exchange, so we’ll see…

I’ve never worked for Toshiba, am just a regular laptop buying customer.

That said, if their recall software says you aren’t eligible, I’d guess you aren’t eligible. You could always call their tech support, though, and check with them too.

I have a Satellite A105-S2001 that the Toshiba website says is part of the recall. I downloaded the battery check program they provide and it says that my battery is not part of the recall. My battery only lasts about 2 hours before it runs down. How do I find out if even my batterry is not part of the recall, I can still get it replaced. 2 hours is duh! Any help is appreciated.
